"Biggest German TV campfire": Gießener celebrates its premiere as a jungle camp moderator

This year RTL once again says "I'm a star - get me out of here!".
Jan Köppen from Gießen will moderate for the first time alongside Sonja Zietlow.
Gießen – Even before the first episode of this year's season "I'm a star – get me out of here!" is broadcast on Friday (January 13), the "true jungle queen" for Jan Köppen is already certain: his co-moderator Sonja Zietlow.
She's been doing it for so long that he doesn't have to worry that something will go wrong, the new jungle camp moderator enthused about

Zietlow had already given him a few tips.
"She advised me, for example, to take a daylight alarm clock with me so that I wake up properly at night and not to the cell phone alarm clock.

This year's jungle camp is a premiere for the moderator from Gießen.
He replaces Daniel Hartwich, who moderated the show alongside Zietlow for ten years after the death of Dirk Bach in 2012 and is now leaving the post for family reasons.
However, the job as a moderator is anything but new for Köppen.
In the past he has been in front of the camera for various RTL productions, such as the dating show "Take Me Out", "Ninja Warrior" or the "RTL Tower Jumping".
In the meantime, Köppen is considered a kind of all-purpose weapon at the Cologne broadcaster.
Giessener-allgemeine.de reports that the Giessener made his first steps on TV on music television with Viva.

"I thought Aunt RTL never knocked and asked," Köppen jokingly commented on his nomination as the new co-moderator in a message from the broadcaster.

Köppen is not worried about the big footsteps of his longtime predecessor.
In conversation with RTL in the run-up to the new season, he tried to put a stop to any comparisons in the tried and tested Klaus Wowereit manner: "Of course I'm not Daniel and Daniel isn't me and that's a good thing." Ultimately, the show is all right about the candidates.
